Sonicwall TZ210 NetExtender installation issues

Go Premium Individual Business. We have found that the client on the laptop will not stay connected. It connects then disconnects after a few minutes.

I have uninstalled the version then went to an older version then moved to the latest version. No matter what version is loaded it will not stay connected.

Firewall was turned off and the antivirus was disabled and tested again without success. Yes I am running 7. You're sure that NetExtender Client works just fine with the same user account in another laptop!!

One of Sonicvwall's fixes for this is to delete the NetExtender client. Are they a domain user? Go to that page, the follow the directions to log in to the Beta site as a guest username is "demo", password is "password" - as provided on the page , then click the large NetExtender button, which will initiate a download of the latest. Extract it and run. The installer has instructions to help you all along the way. When you put the hostname that you use to connect to it into a browser it takes you to a page that has links where you can download client software to connect to the VPN box.

The only other branding that I've noticed on the download page is that it says nortel in the title page, and "Aventail Connect with smarttunneling", on the side of the download page. Dang, forgot to put that in the notes above Yes, I tried the downloaded NetExtender which was the solution for one of the two machines that worked. Unfortunately, for the other three, it's still the same issue using that file. I've been going round and round with SonicWALL tech support which, if I may editorialize for a few words, is less than adequate. I'm finding a few line items in the debug log that are troubling: I honestly think that this points to the crux of the problem.

However, I don't know what driver it's referring to. Does anyone have any detailed knowledge on the installation of NetExtender that might be able to peel this back?

Description. SSL VPN is one method of allowing Remote Users to connect to the SonicWall and access internal network resources. SSL VPN Connections can be setup with one of three methods. Well, I was able to find out what the problem was. It looks like Sunbelt's Vipre Antivirus was the villain. The current version of Vipre () whether installed or uninstalled, is causing installation and services restrictions with NetExtender and it's affiliated services. NetExtender is the Sonicwall VPN client for desktops (as opposed to an always-on connection, to a satelite office for example). The client does have Linux builds available and works fairly well.
